about

Kyle Casey Chu (aka Panda Dulce) is a San Francisco born and raised writer and Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) core queen whose work explores queer identities, racial justice and desire. Her writing and drag has appeared on NPR, NBC, VICE, HuffPost, MTV, FUSION, NewNowNext, them.us, and the White House's "It's On Us" campaign, teaching viewers how to combat anti-LGBTQ violence. Most recently, Kyle is the creator and co-writer of the all-QTPOC web series: CHOSEN FAM.

Kyle performs regularly with SF's all-Asian drag troupe, the Rice Rockettes, who twice earned 48Hills' "Best Drag Show of the Bay" award, and has raised more than $25,000 for HIV/AIDs research since their 2009 founding.

In past lives, Kyle composed original scores for feminist documentary features. As a saxophonist, she has shared the stage with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, The Blow, and Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine.
