Kyle Casey Chu (AKA Panda Dulce) is a writer/producer and one of the founding queens of Drag Story Hour. She co-writes and produces films alongside one of her besties, Roísín Isner.

She is an alum of Sundance's Trans Possibilities Intensive and Uprise Fellowship, Lambda Literary's Writer's Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices, and Film Fatales, and is currently a 2024-2025 SFFILM FilmHouse resident and a 2025 Rainin Arts Fellow in Film. She served alongside Drag Story Hour as Grand Marshall of SF Pride 2023. 

Kyle's Sundance and Skywalker Sound-supported short, "After What Happened at the Library," has screened at four Academy Award Qualifying Festivals and won a Special Jury Award at Florida Film Festival 2025. It is a proof-of-concept for her debut feature film.

Her second short, "Betty St. Clair," was fully-funded by NewFest, Concord Music Originals and the San Francisco Arts Commission, and premiered at NewFest Pride 2025.
 

Kyle's debut middle grade novel, "The Queen Bees of Tybee County" (HarperCollins, 2025) was just optioned into a UK episodic.
